Bat Man is one of Agni's disciples, he serves as minor ally to the former.
Appearance[]
Bat Man is a tall man that sports a face mask along with a baseball cap and trench coat, while unmasked he has dark hair and a scar across nose.
Powers and Abilities[]
Bat Man is skilled at wielding and fighting with his trademark metal bat, being able to easily deflect bullets from Behemdorg soldiers and fight them off blessed criminals like Kalou and Uroy.
- Soul Reading: As a blessed, Bat Man possesses the ability to look into the souls or "hearts" of others, effectively being able to see their inner thoughts and feelings, when used on Kalou he grew disgusted seeing his abuse on children and used it to deduce Togata's gender identity.
Personality[]
Bat Man is a fierce believer in justice and as such fights for the sake of liberating slaves from Behemdorg. Bat Man posses a fanatical love for Agni always addressing him in respectful honorifics like "Sir and Lord", due to his heroic exploits including unknowingly saving his own son. Bat Man however can also be distrustful given circumstances as he was heavily skeptical of Togata's claims and eventually looked into his heart.
History[]
Little is known of Bat Man's background other than he witnessed his parents being killed by Behemdorg soldiers.[1] Eventually he had a young son that was stricken with illness and freed from captivity due to Agni. Eventually he grew further inspired by Agni's heroic exploits of killing Behemdorg slavers and freeing the captured slaves, telling his son news of his actions before he passed away. Eventually when hearing Behemdorgs cities were being lit on fire he rushed to the scene with a group of rebels.
Plot[]
Bat Man is first introduced killing seeing into the heart of the death row inmate Kalou, and swiftly kills him for his heinous crimes. On route to Agni's location he defeats several soldiers and leads his group to rescue the slaves on orders from Agni.[2] While fighting on top of the trucks carrying the rescued slaves, Spear Woman and Masked Man lend their aid to back up Bat Man as the three fight off the remaining soldiers and Uroy. About a day following this raid Bat Man thanks Agni and declares himself his follower alongside his men. As time passes and the emancipated people begin to pass away Bat Man still holds onto his faith as peace is retained among the self dubbed Agniists. Eventually 3 Behemdorg deserters arrive at the hideout location and Bat Man intergoates them, Agni arrives and attempts to convice Bat Man to forgive the soldiers but Bat Man is hesitant. He reveals that his family was killed despite their pleas and sees no reason to spare the soldiers but eventually relents. At night however, Bat Man sees into Togata's soul and realizes his gender indenity and duplicity in "helping" Agni, he finds them at night and shares these findings to Agni. Later on he and Spear Woman are killed by Sulya's world tree.[3]
